|  That above is the Before, Its before i edited it and thats the original one. The one below is the one i edited. I added a burn to the bottom and top of the nuclear cloud to give it a more realistic fire kinda thing to it. i think it looks pretty neat.  |

| The edits are minor if there at all. I don't see much difference between the two but a darkened perimeter.
If you are an amateur as your title suggests, it is good of you to practice with the burn tool. Using GIMP, the most important aspect is probably the smudge, burn, dodge, and shape/crop tools.
If I could suggest, try ripping pieces away from pictures, and adding them to your own customized effects and graphics. |
